Buffalo Creek Academy is a free, open enrollment 5th - 8th grade public charter school in Buffalo, NY. We are currently accepting applications for 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th grade for the 2024-2025 School Year.

Open Enrollment Period: ​February 1, 2024 to April 12, 2024         Enrollment Lottery Date: ​April 12, 2024

  • A separate application MUST be completed for EACH student applying for admission to BCA.
  • To be included in the Enrollment Lottery on ​April 12, 2024​, applications must be received by the Main Office by ​April 12, 2024​ at noon. Enrollment Lottery will be held at 528 South Park, Buffalo, NY 14204.
  • Applications received after 12:00 p.m. on ​April 12, 2024 will not be included in the lottery. Those applicants' names will be placed, in the order of the date and time their applications were received, at the end of the waiting list generated via the lottery.
  • The generated wait list will be active for the entire 2024-2025 school year only.
  • Preference MUST be given to students who reside in the City of Buffalo School District.
  • Siblings of currently enrolled BCA students also receive preference in the lottery. Siblings are students who share a legal guardian.
  • Applicants who have a parent/legal guardian employed at BCA also receive preference in the lottery.
  • All applicants who are included in the lottery are notified by mail in the days following the lottery if they have been selected for enrollment or placed on the waitlist (and their number on the waitlist). After the lottery has taken place, the school will call ONLY those students who are being offered enrollment. It is imperative that you inform the Main Office of any changes to your phone contact information.
  • Applicants who are selected in the lottery for an enrollment offer will need to provide the following documents as a part of the enrollment process: Birth certificate, physical, immunization records and proof of address.
