What is your schedule?

Our school schedule is from 7:20am - 2:05pm, daily. Classes will start promptly at 7:20am each day. 

 

Where is your school located?

Our brand new campus is located at 528 South Park Buffalo, NY 14204

 

Do the uniforms cost any money?

The school will provide the uniform items for each student. Parents/Guardians must only purchase black (closed toe) shoes or sneakers for their child(ren). Students are allowed to wear blue, black, and/or khaki pants. No jeans will be permitted.

 

Are there any fees whatsoever?

There are no fees. 

 

Is there an entrance exam?

No

 

How are you different from other charter schools?

We equip each student with all materials required for learning. We deliver all material and all school meals, all for free. We have a very unique curriculum that is not offered anywhere else in Buffalo. We are the only charter school in Buffalo that is also a Cambridge International School, we offer four courses from Cambridge: Global Perspectives, Digital Literacy with Civic Engagement, Art & Design with Social-Emotional Learning, and Cambridge Physical Education. 

 

What curriculum will you use?

Buffalo Creek Academy has adopted  IReady's ELA and Math Curriculum. Savvas Science & Social Studies curriculum will be used across all grade levels.Buffalo Creek Academy has a unique component within our curriculum which will be our Innovative Courses. The pillar of Buffalo Creek Academy’s innovative courses currently include Cambridge Global Perspectives, Cambridge Digital Litearcy with Civic Engagement, Cambridge Art & Design with Social-Emotional Learning, and Cambridge Physical Education. 

 

How long are the classes?

English: 1 block (75 minutes each). Math: 1 blocks (75 minutes each). Science: 75 minutes utilizing Success Academy curriculum. Social Studies: 75 minutes utilizing Success Academy. All Cambridge Course utilize Cambridge Curriculum and are 75 minutes per class. Physical Education & Health: 75 minutes per class

 

Will you provide breakfast and lunch?

Yes, breakfast and lunch are provided daily.

 

How old does my child have to be to attend?

Eligibility required that your child must have completed the prior grade to be eligible to enroll; for example, your child must have completed the 4th grade in order to enroll into the 5th grade at BCA.

 

Who owns the school?

As a non-profit Public Charter School in New York State, our school is owned by the public. BCA was founded by Dr. Chris Manning and is governed by our Board of Directors.
