What is your schedule?

Our school schedule is from 8:30am - 3:30pm, daily. Classes will start promptly at 8:30am each day. 


Where is your school located?

Our brand new campus is located at 528 South Park Buffalo, NY 14204


Do the uniforms cost any money?

The school will provide the uniform items for each student. Parents/Guardians must only purchase black (closed toe) shoes or sneakers for their child(ren). 


Are there any fees whatsoever?

There are no fees. 


Is there an entrance exam?



How are you different from other charter schools?

We equip each student with all materials required for learning. We deliver all material and all school meals, all for free. We have a very unique curriculum that is not offered anywhere else in Buffalo. We are the only charter school in Buffalo that is also a Cambridge International School, we offer two courses from Cambridge; global perspectives and information computer technology (ICT). As a unique part of our curriculum, we also have an internally developed civic engagement program that focuses on positive community impact.  


What curriculum will you use?

Buffalo Creek Academy will adopt Success Academy's and IReady's ELA and Humanities curriculum. Success Academy is a high performing charter school located in New York City. Similar to other local schools, Buffalo Creek Academy will adopt the IReady Math program. Buffalo Creek Academy will have a unique component within our curriculum which will be our Innovative Courses. The pillar of Buffalo Creek Academy’s innovative courses will include Civic Engagement which will be adopted from Democracy Prep School in New York City. the innovative component will also include Global Perspectives and Information Computer Technology and which will be adopted from Cambridge University International.


How long are the classes?

English: 2 blocks (45 minutes each). Math: 2 blocks (45 minutes each). Science: 40 minutes utilizing Success Academy curriculum. Social Studies: 40 minutes utilizing Success Academy. All Cambridge Course utilize Cambridge Curriculum and are 40 minutes per class. Physical Education: 40 minutes. Social Emotional Learning: 40 minutes. 


Will you provide breakfast and lunch?

Yes, and we deliver the school meals right to your home if your student is remote learning.


How old does my child have to be to attend?

Eligibility required that your child must have completed the prior grade to be eligible to enroll; for example, your child must have completed the 4th grade in order to enroll into the 5th grade at BCA.


Who owns the school?

As a non-profit Public Charter School in New York State, our school is owned by the public. BCA was founded by Dr. Chris Manning and is governed by our Board of Directors.
